Kngine Labs is a Research and Development section. Kngine Labs mission is to
innovate and discover new technologies that allow us
to achieve our goals.
Here we will preview and share our latest experiments to make it easiest to
contact with our community to saw how our technologies can help the users.
Kngine Strategy and Research areas
Our goal is to build Web 3.0 Search Engine that unleashes revolution of new
possibilities. We are working on next generation of indexing, question answering,
data understanding, and data representation technologies. We can summarize our
researches in the following areas:
- Universal Knowledge-Base: Our Knowledge-Base ' Kngine Live Objects' content more
than 1 billion piece of information about more than 7 million concepts. Kngine
Live Objects is comprehensive and more complete than PowerSet, Freebase, and
Wikipedia. We use Kngine Live Objects in many areas such as: identity the
keywords/concept, discover the relation between the concepts, provide smart and
meaningful about the concepts, and documents classification, and context-based
analysis, and fuzzy search.
- Semantic Search and Natural Language research: Semantic Search and Natural
Language researches working to improve Kngine capabilities in understand the queries
and answer it through our Semantic Indexes and Knowledge-Base (A.K.A Kngine Live
Objects). Semantic Search and Natural Language technologies also make Kngine
capable to provide different kind search results, such as: Maps, List of
things, Compare the concepts, etc.
- Indexing Technology: We investigating in new indexing technologies that allows
Kngine to understand and extract information from the Web pages (long-term goal), and
provides more relevant search results. We currently working in indexing
technology Called 'Snippet Search'.
- Question Answering: Our researches in Question Answering aims to make the Kngine
capable to answer the user's questions, by provide direct and customized
answer. Out researches in Question Answering is highly correlated with the other
researches areas. For example Natural Langauge researches help to understand the
questions, Knowledge-Base (A.K.A Kngine Live Objects) helps to provides answers for the simple questions,
and our
under-research new indexing technologies helps to answer the complex and the
abstract questions.

In September 2009 we start work in different kind of indexing technique that aim to provides more relevant results in short-term, and answer the abstract questions in long-term. In general Snippet Search working to provides collection of rich ranked paragraphs rather than collection of documents links.
